<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll be honest, I feel like a bit of a swine when I purchase a Lime Crime item. There is so. much. hate. when it comes to Doe Deer, and the practises of her business, and as someone who proclaims themselves to be a lackadaisical socialist, and someone who applauds morals and fair behaviour, it makes a little bit of a mockery of my preaching when I buy into a product from a company who have been accused of being venomous and unfair to customers and competitors. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But truthfully, I just love their products so much, and my obsession with make up has rendered me disingenuous it seems. I hate it....but i've never been good at saying no to lust. Bane of my life. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Make of that what you will. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway, I ordered this the day it arrived on the website directly from Lime Crime , as stockists for Lime Crime seem to be dropping like flies over in the uk for some reason. It took about 12 days to arrive, which is fine, as it's crossing a vast amount of distance to get here. It cost $10.95 in postage which isn't too bad either, seeing as Sephora USA are charging what feels like $100000000000000 to post to the UK. It's not that much btw, and I can't be bothered to check what I paid, but it was around $25.00 or so, and it pissed me off. </div>

So, as we've all been made VERY aware of, the 90's are BACKBACKBACK. For some reason all the stuff that us average teenagers wore is now a much desired thing, which is fine, because it makes life easy for me because I just have to remember what I wore then and wear it again, and do my make up the same. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This shade, Cashmere, otherwise known as 'Greige' so half grey, half beige, is the quintessential 90's lip shade and there honestly is NOTHING, well...not nothing, but very few that match up to this shade when it comes to pulling off a total look. It's the same formula, it stays put unless you're eating a macdonalds, which, admittedly I can do at 5.00am after a night out, but lets face it, at that point all I care about is that i've not been sick down my front and can see vaguely. The colour is opaque in one swipe, and dries with enough time to correct mistakes. I LOVE IT. </div>

Listen. I know I look like a prick in that picture up there. However I am lazy and this was accidentally taken when drunkenly wiping my face of a red drink on my way to see Is Tropical play my mates club in hackney. This night was a testament to the lasting power of the pairing of Cashmere and <a href="http://www.urbandecay.co.uk/lips/lip-pencil/24/7-glide-on-lip-pencil" target="_blank">Urban Decay lipliner in Liar</a>. By the time I got to the gig i'd drunk about five beverages. Whilst there I drank another five, including the dregs of the rider because my card was declined after an hour, urgh, I danced to this...</div>

Mind you, if i'd done kissing on someone (which I didn't), I imagine it would do the same that other velveteens have done and flaked off, but they're not built for krypton factor-esque make out sessions. They're made to last through general life. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you want to snap up Cashmere, it's not available yet through any UK distributors, and it's out of stock on the US website, but they do restock, so keep checking <a href="http://www.limecrime.com/velvetines-1/" target="_blank">HERE</a> at Lime Crime. </div>

<br />
<br />
I love a fancy lippie colour. I get supremely irritated when people review unusual colours of lipstick and say 'it's a bit out there'. Perhaps it's not the norm, but like hair colour, I feel that we are young (ish, sadly i'm rapidly approaching 36) once and we have all these stunning colours in the world, and we, as humans, are allowed to PAINT ON OUR FACE! Think about that for a fact! We can buy all these things and paint whatever we want on our face to make us look however we can, within the parameters of our aesthetics. I mean, I can't paint my face to be Angelina Jolie but I can give it a good go...<br />
<br />
Anyway, back to the make up i've spent my hard acquired cashmoney on.<br />
<br />
I happened upon these lipsticks in the Oxford Circus brand of Topshop. I was excited because I love NYX, but they didn't have the Macaron lipsticks on the <a href="http://www.nyxcosmetics.co.uk/lips/lipstick" target="_blank">uk branch of their website </a>which felt rather unfair, so I snapped them up, at the very reasonable price of £7.00, which if you consider the fact that <a href="http://www.rosesbeautystore.com/product/nyx-cosmetics-macaron-lippies-coconut/" target="_blank">Rose's Beauty Store</a> are selling them at the RIDICULOUS mark up of £16.99, which frankly is a massive piss take, given that NYX sell lipsticks from $3 in the USA, it stinks a little bit of pure greed.<br />
<br />
However, as I said, I got to try these for the price of £7 each, so it didn't feel too much of a waste if they turned out to be a washout, so to speak.<br />
<br />
So what do NYX have to say.....<br />
<br />
<br />
THIS.<br />
<br />
<br /><i>Fantasize in color with our neon and pastel lippies in 12 of the creamiest shades you’ll ever use.<br /><br />NYX Cosmetic’s cruelty-free formula is packed with pigment and has a satin matte finish for long-wearing resilience.<br /><br />Creamy and highly pigmented pastel and neon colored lipsticks. <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
First up, Earl Grey. The feature I feel I need to point out quite urgently is the fact that it is, in fact, blue, not grey. Above in the NYX visual, it's very much grey, but this is a light sky blue, a strong pastel, if you will. It's extremely creamy and applies without dragging, and feels emolient and light. However, this is where the joy of application ends. It's an odd colour to try and match with a lipliner, so I tried with a <a href="http://www.sleekmakeup.com/eau-la-la-liners-white-noise" target="_blank">white Sleek Eau La La liner</a>, as the colour applied straight on my lips showed my lip colour through quite quickly. When used with a lip liner, sadly it was still having to be swiped on about three times in a row to get coverage, and once I blotted, it crumbled off in the centre. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So in summary, colour, fabulous, performance, not a goer unless you don't mind a kind of deconstructed worn through look, which if you're beautiful i'm sure you could easily rock. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As for Coconut. Well, i'm sorry, it's the same story but worse. It takes a lot of product to get the coverage opaque, and then once it is, it comes off very quickly. HOWEVER, it's an awesome product to use if you want to do a lip ombre, then its performance is only to lighten your existing lipstick, which looks great! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So all in all, it's a thumbs down for this except as an accessory to other lipsticks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you want to get your hands on these though, you can go online and get them direct from Topshop for £7 <a href="http://www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId=33057&storeId=12556&productId=17927106&langId=-1&categoryId=&parent_category_rn=&searchTerm=TS20B32GPBL&resultCount=1&geoip=home" target="_blank">HERE</a></div>

MAC PENCILLED IN - MARCH 2015</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm a massive fan of lip pencils. I haven't the most steady of hands when it comes to applying lipstick, and for some reason, if I don't line my lips well, my lipstick not only migrates around my face (I cannot tell you how many times i've found it on my nose, MY DAMN NOSE FGS!) but it just looks unflattering. I also love creating colour combinations with lipstick that verge on cartoonish, perhaps Liechtenstein-eaque, so dark blue to white, black to pink, dark red to neon orange. I also need my lipstick to last ALL NIGHT LONG, so lip liner is imperative to prevent that 3am mirror based freakout when I realise that I have looked hideous for the previous two hours. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, finances dictated, but when I saw the stunning visual above I had to snap up three of these mostly new shades from Mac, which have been created to be exact colour match partners for identical, or near identically named lipstick counterparts that have become iconic, such as Candy Yum Yum and Ruby Woo. A great idea, although I would really prefer ALL mac lip pencils to be the pro longwear formula. I mean, when there's a choice obviously you want your product to LAST, so....once the formula existed, why bother with anything else! </div>

As far as a review goes, there's not a whole lot to say, they wear the same as all Mac lip pencils, the colour payoff is good, but not as buttery as the pro longwear as they are a lot drier in texture. The Cyber World is the best of the bunch when it comes to a generally unobtainable depth of colour (other than Nightmoth) on the high street, so if you're strapped for cash I would definitely pick this up. The other two are easily dupable.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

JEFFREE STAR COSMETICS</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll be honest here. I had never heard of Jeffree Star, who is apparently a make up artist, fashion designer, DJ, and singer - songwriter living in Beverly Hills, California, until I saw his new line of matte liquid lipsticks pop up on <a href="https://www.love-makeup.co.uk/products_new.php" target="_blank">Love MakeUp</a>. I am obsessive about liquid lipsticks in the extreme, I remember one of my first lipstick purchases was <a href="https://maxfactor.co.uk/make-up-products/lips/lipstick/max-factor-lipfinity-lipstick" target="_blank">Max Factor Lipfinity</a> in a incredibly 90's browny nude (although I don't recall it being called that in 93) which I would use without applying the gloss, thus it being a total flat matte. When Lime Crime started chucking out the velveteen lips a few years back, I was literally begging them to take my effing money, and subsequently I have purchased every release of this formula format, of any note, in the years since. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I am actually surprised i'd not heard of Jeffree Star, given the circles I operate in, I am often surrounded by many pretenders to the<a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Club_Kids" target="_blank"> Club Kid</a> throne. For anyone totally unaware of the phenomenon, they were a group of clubbers in the late 80's and early 90's that would take an awful lot of drugs, and dress in an exceedingly theatrical <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leigh_Bowery" target="_blank">Leigh Bowery-esque</a> manner and go to clubs and draw a lot of attention. This was documented in the admittedly quite dreadful film starring Macaulay Culkin, <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Party_Monster_(2003_film)" target="_blank">Party Monster</a>, which although is basically about a load of rather awful human beings, one of them eventually turning out to be a murderer, a lot of young clubbers have tried to emulate the scene, and a lot of them that I know get paid just to turn up to VIP clubs to drink free drinks all night, to make places that, due to my job, shall remain nameless, look edgy and cool as opposed filled with rich businessmen, members of Made In Chelsea and girls in bodycon dresses and heels. I know this because although I don't subscribe to this lifestyle, I do like having free drinks with my friends and free entry when i'm bored of an evening. They never want photographs of me as compared to them i'm seen as a big fatso, so, all is well ultimately!</div>
<br />
I've gone off the subject. I apologise. Also, I would like to point out that I ONLY like the free drinks, it's just some of my long term friends live in this silly world despite them being very different when I got to know them. Fashion is an odd world and one i'm glad I don't work in.<br />

Anyway, onto the ACTUAL PRODUCTS. Essentially these are three liquid matte lipsticks, all with a blue leaning base so they are flattering to your teeth, which is something I need, as my teeth are horrid and yellow due to a childhood dose of antibiotics that were later removed from the market due to turning teeth very yellow, a 13 year smoking habit, and a subsequent obsession with tea and pepsi. I imagine you're getting the picture that i'm not the poster girl for healthy living. For that I apologise. </div>

The colours are housed in chunky, solid containers, which err on the side of cute as opposed to tacky. They are about the size of a normal lipstick, which makes them very convenient to pop in your pocket for a night out for top ups. The colours are bright, brash and bold, and are said to be universally flattering, but I would question this, as two of the three colours aren't particularly flattering on my very pale, pink leaning skintone. My favourite is the lilac colour I'm Royalty, which is absolutely beautiful. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what does Jeffree have to say about his lipsticks....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<blockquote class="tr_bq">
<i>Our liquid lipstick goes on opaque, dries completely matte and stays on for hours! This product is 100% vegan & cruelty-free! (tips before use: exfoliate then apply to bare lips! avoid food with oil... and no making out, kisses are ok!) </i></blockquote>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And what do I say....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Being an aficionado of all the liquid lipsticks in the land, I would say that I am in a reasonably good position to give an opinion. It's refreshingly honest of Jeffree Star to point out that in fact, these, like so many, if not ALL long wear lipsticks, are not 'make out' proof. This lipstick will last for about four hours, but you will see signs of wear on the inside of your lips, and more so if you drink any lovely drinks, which when wearing these lips, you probably will be as they are made for parties. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The texture is intriguing, and like nothing i've experienced before with a liquid lipstick. The nearest I could liken it to would be the Lime Crime Velveteens, but it's got a much more stable substantial feel to the formula, thus making it easier to apply than the velveteens I would say. I would say it feels almost....oily at first, and its dry down time is rather long, but once it's set the finish is beautiful, so worth the wait. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Of course at the end of the night, it's a bugger to get off, but what do we expect! It's made to last, we can't have everything. It doesn't stain, just clings. That's good enough for me! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Sarah Chapman Ultimate Cleanse</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I could never, ever, for one second, claim that I am not a victim of hype. You could tell me anything is the new ultimate product, whilst showing me a picture of a pretty girl with perfect everything, and I shall buy into it. I don't even need convincing. If anything, i'll be chucking my scant funds at you whilst apologising for taking up your precious time. I am a dream consumer. Happy to spend themselves into epic debt to attain the unattainable dream, whilst constantly berating myself for my weight and looks, but choosing to buy new products as opposed to get up off my lazy lazy behind, or say no to that third piece of cake. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But enough about me. Lets talk about Sarah and her cleanse.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll admit I only heard about Sarah Chapman during a particularly hellish festival weekend that I was dj'ing, and the only shining light that came out of it was that the person I went with was using Sarah Chapman skin products, and i'd forgotten my cleanser, so I was allowed to borrow a pump of this, and I was immediately obsessed. I have used a million different lovely cleansers, high end, low end etc etc, and so it takes a lot for me to feel the need to spend a lot after discovering<a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Soap-Glory%C2%99-Peaches-and-Clean%C2%99-3-in-1-Wash-off-Deep-Purifying-Cleanser-200ml_1364166/" target="_blank"> Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean</a> for under a tenner, that takes my eye and facial make up off in seconds, plus exfoliates. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So after much deliberation, and searching on e bay, I parted with £30 for the old style packaging. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what does Sarah say about this....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="p1">
<i>This intelligent aromatic infusion melts into pores, transforming into a milk for swift removal leaving clean, fresh, glowing skin. A delicious soufflé balm that works deep into the pores to combat daily grime, lift out impurities and remove make-up, even waterproof mascara. Soothing omega-rich baobab and borage oils are blended with a powerful dose of antioxidant vitamins A and E, precious white lily and Dermaxyl™ peptide to boost collagen production. This potent combination of anti-ageing actives gently exfoliates to help prevent pore clogging and deeply cleanses, softens, and brightens.</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
What do I say....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Well, hmm, my immediate reaction is to say that I love it, but it's not all perfection. On one hand, it leaves you with a glowing, soft, clean and healthy feeling face, all comfy and fragrant. It feels luxurious as you massage it on, and you feel like you're getting a nice deep cleanse. What I don't feel quite so enthused about is the fact that it doesn't remove my eye make up, so I have had to resort to cleansing my eyes three times in a row with this to get the mascara off. I don't even use waterproof, just regular <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/L-8217-Oreal-Paris-Volume-Million-Miss-Manga-Punky-Mascara_1637971/" target="_blank">L'oreal Manga Punky Eyes</a>, yet still, it doesn't remove it at all, not with the special fancy mit, or extra special massaging. When I get in from a long night, and i'm drunk, and beyond knackered, all I want is to have a clean sparkly face and to go straight to sleep. This would make that process rather annoying. However, the actual skin benefits, which lets face it, are what we cleanse for, are fabulous, and I wake with a non greasy, brighter complexion.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So in conclusion, I do recommend this, but for times when you have, well, time. Despite all my endless product buying I cannot be bothered for the process involved with the whole rigmarole of the entire range, it seems a little bit much from what I have witnessed, endless rubbing and massaging and above all, A RIDICULOUS AMOUNT OF CASH. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love lipstick. I love it. It took me many years to come to terms with it. I wore it in the very early nineties, Rimmel's Black Cherry was my go to, or...actually, it was my ONLY, which I paired with green colour correcting powder instead of foundation, and mascara, and somehow I looked okay. This is an actual photograph, taken in my nan and gramp's flat. I remember I had spent all day watching the video to Lush - Hypocrite (see below) and decided I wanted to be Mikki Berenyi, so I went to the Superdrug next door, purchased the aforementioned lipstick and powder, and went to work on my face. Two hours later my gramps came home and yelled loudly that I looked like a tiny hooker.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Great days. </div>

<div style="text-align: left;">
Anyway, back to the lippie. My obsession with lipstick started again in the mid 2000's and I haven't looked back since. My biggest lust is deep pinks and pinky reds, and having never been an aficionado on <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/lips-0" target="_blank">Lush</a> the brand, as all I knew was every time I walked by one, I was met with headache inducing smells and confusing levels of messy looking bath bombs, which, again, if you were a teenager in the nineties, you probably got sick of too, because its all your stupid friends got you as presents, when all I wanted was music and films. Bloody women (of which, I know, I am one).<br /><br />So yeah, Waterloo rail station has a new Lush, so I went in, and felt like I had to own something from there to celebrate the fact that I knew eff all about them, and I had ten minutes till my next train. I swatched Decisive and I was SOLD, as it was opaque, matte and beautiful in every way. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OnpKGAiPxcY/VKuZiwN20AI/AAAAAAAAA68/1GddRHUMqyk/s1600/IMG_3228.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-OnpKGAiPxcY/VKuZiwN20AI/AAAAAAAAA68/1GddRHUMqyk/s1600/IMG_3228.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lush - Decisive, having a little sleep</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rHMePf7V0Aw/VKuZu3vz5HI/AAAAAAAAA7E/B-PasIRbX5o/s1600/IMG_3229.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-rHMePf7V0Aw/VKuZu3vz5HI/AAAAAAAAA7E/B-PasIRbX5o/s1600/IMG_3229.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Decisive, swatched, on my arm</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, here's the first fact about this stuff. You will get opaque coverage in one swipe, no messing. The formula is super duper extra matte. You don't need any dry down time to see what this formula will look like, you will see the results straight away and if you love a pop of strong colour, you will LOVE THIS. Add to this that you get lip conditioning ingredients of jojoba oil, rose wax and candellila wax in this formula, you really cannot go wrong. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ODJpweVW9ts/VKuaZeMJbHI/AAAAAAAAA7M/WLCU68rpSM4/s1600/IMG_3202.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-ODJpweVW9ts/VKuaZeMJbHI/AAAAAAAAA7M/WLCU68rpSM4/s1600/IMG_3202.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My ugly mug with Decisive on.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, I have paired this with lipliner, namely <a href="http://www.superdrug.com/Sleek/Sleek-Eau-La-La-Eyeliner-Dragon-Fruit/p/397556" target="_blank">Sleek - Dragonfruit</a> which is my longwear, waterproof go to every time I wear a pink lip. and this photo was taken at 1.00am. I had applied the lipstick at 8.00pm, and had wine and three vodkas by this point, and look, NOT ONE BIT OF WEAR. Now, this is pretty amazing, but I will warn you that I by 6.00am, things were looking a little less appealing, but I was very....very drunk, so I cannot vouch for why I looked like such a mess. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
In conclusion, this is a fantastic lipstick, which wears forever, is pretty indestructible and if i'm honest, I cannot find any fault with it at all. BOOM!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
If you want to get involved, you can purchase this directly from Lush online - <a href="https://www.lush.co.uk/products/lips-0" target="_blank">HERE</a> - for £14.50.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

<br />
I've had a bad couple of months, which have involved burying best friends, poorly relatives and being unwell myself, as well as work, i've been a hot mess, literally, minus the hot.<br />
<br />
I have however got reviews pulsating in my brain waiting to burst out like a fountain of judgemental diamonds. Probably.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Due to being such a crazy obsessive product addict, there are few things that I use up, and even less that I repurchase, so if I actually do get to the point that I use something up before its sell by date, or before, it's a big day in this household, and i'll sit down and eat a chocolate mousse to celebrate. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Anyway....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This product, the Diorshow lash plumping serum, is something that I have bought nearly a dozen times since it appeared on the market. As a teenager I was always desperate for lovely lashes like my friends seemed to be naturally blessed with, and improvised with clear mascara and powdering lashes, which, although slightly helpful, didn't really cut it, and once the grunge era was over, my cloggy lashes just looked a bit shit. Sad times. Anyway, I first started using lash primer when I got a free sample of a <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Lancome-Cils-Booster-XL-Suitable-even-for-sensitive-eyes_12466/?cm_mmc=pla-_-google-_-PLAs-_-Boots+Shopping+-+Category+-+Luxury+Beauty" target="_blank">Lancome Cils Booster</a> and fell in love with the results, which were, predictably, boosted lashes. However, this girl wanted to go bigger and better. Size DOES matter, WHO KNEW! So I decided, when purchasing my then favourite Diorshow Blackout mascara, which really is quite something when it comes to defining lashes as blacker than night, I decided to be 'upsold' the primer too, and my GAWD I was glad I did.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
From the first moment I was in lust with this white shiny guy. I layer two coats of this thick white gloop on, which not only is filled with small fibers to plump my spindly pathetic lashes up, but also conditions, and apparently contains an ingredient called LashMaximiser (tm), heh, which is frankly a ridiculously bland name to make up frankly, and trust old hyaluronic acid, to moisturise and prevent breakage and brittle falling lashes.<br /><br />My lashes have definitely got better over the years of using this, although they're not longer, but they are stronger, and the effects of two coats of this, left to dry, before applying whatever my current mascara favourite of the month is, results in pretty spectacular lashes in comparison to my normal pathetic smattering of stubby eye hairs. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, I heartily recommend if you're without natural lashes, and cannot be arsed to apply serums morning and night that might turn your eyeballs yellow, go and purchase this rather pricey, but super worth it primer.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's fantastique! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can pick this up from Boots, Debenhams, House of Fraser and <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/dior-diorshow-maximizer-lash-plumping-serum/p285205" target="_blank">John Lewis</a> for approximately £24.50</div>

Hourglass Veil Mineral Primer</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As a girl with long wear foundation needs, very oily skin, and uneven skintone, who doesn't enjoy the idea of wearing super matte foundations, I was an early adopter of the use of primers. I see many people going on about how unnecessary they are, and I cannot speak for other people, but without a primer, my make up swims around my face within a couple of hours, powder or no powder. Therefore i've tried and tested A LOT of primers over the past 15 or so years. When this product was brought to market a few years ago, with it's ridiculously high price tag, I was obsessed with owning it, and one day, whilst feeling fruity and wanting to reassure that ladies in Liberty that despite my scruffy appearance, I did actually deserve to be in there and I COULD afford stuff (read: I couldn't afford stuff, but like to look like I can, DAMN THEIR PRETTY GLOWING FACES) so I bought this, and my god I am glad I ruddy did.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>They say this.....</b></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
<i>A mineral-based, water-resistant primer with SPF 15 that creates an impossibly smooth canvas and seamless look.</i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<div class="p1">
<i>Veil eliminates redness, minimizes pore size, softens fine lines and creates a uniform canvas for a flawless makeup application. This clean, satin-finish formula helps keep makeup looking fresh and prevents fading, while SPF 15 shields the skin from the sun.</i></div>
<br />
<br />
<b>I say this.... </b><br />
<b><br /></b>
They tell no lies, every single word of that blurb is absolutely true. The texture of this white potion is extremely light, and it soaks into your skin immediately, shrinking your pores right down, taking down redness, evening tone and leaving you with a smooth base with plenty of slip to apply make up over. The most ingenius thing is the fact that not only is it water resistant, but it also makes whatever product you place on top water resistant too, which is great for hot weather or gigs or clubbing etc. I cannot say enough good about it, especially it's oil control. The downside, inevitably, is the price. At £52 per bottle, it's not a purchase you can lightly step into, and due to this, I only wear this for gigs I play, or long days at festivals or going somewhere special, otherwise the thought of the amount i'd have to spend to keep replacing this is panic inducing.<br />
<br />
<br />
I highly HIGHLY recommend you pick this up, and if you're scared of the outlay, there is a mini 20ml version available at a more accessible price of £20.<br />
<br />
Holy grail y'all.<br />
<br />
If you want to purchase this you can get the mini version <a href="http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/product/Liberty//Travel-Size-Veil-Mineral-Primer/66008" target="_blank">here</a> from Liberty london, and the standard size <a href="http://www.liberty.co.uk/fcp/product/Liberty//Travel-Size-Veil-Mineral-Primer/66008" target="_blank">here</a> from Space NK for £52.<br />

I know i'm not the only one, because I have awesome friends who are also rubbish girls, but if i'm honest, when i'm around women, I always feel inadequate in the extreme. I had a rather tumultuous upbringing, where stuff such as learning about shaving, eyebrows, boobs and periods weren't particularly on the agenda, I was lucky if I had a bed to sleep in, so I had to wing it as far as learning how to be a lady goes....<br />
<br />
So these are things i've currently never ever done<br />
<br />
<br />
<ul>
<li>Waxed anything - Seriously, nothing, ever, I have seen it on tv and it looks painful though.</li>
<li>Had a manicure - When my nails get too long I just rip them off, rank I know.</li>
<li>Had a pedicure - Surely life is too short and money too sparse to waste on that...</li>
<li>My bikini line - it doesn't poke out my tiniest of pants, and I can't swim so, I don't bother.</li>
<li>Spray Tan - I have tried cheap gradual tans. I'm crap at them. Crap. </li>
<li>Sunbed - When vanity carries a danger of skin cancer, you really need to sort your shit out.</li>
<li>Massage - I did have one once for free. I felt too awkward to relax because I was worried for the poor person having to touch a person they didn't know for money. Yes I have issues. </li>
<li>Facial - I had one once, again, I felt guilty of the time being spent on me, and it gave me tons of spots.</li>
<li>Used tampons - I know! I used one once and passed out, at 13, so never touched them again.</li>
<li>Matching underwear - I have never bought a set, and only recently did I buy a vaguely fancy bra. Some of my knickers i've had since 96 at least. I just don't have that part to me that feels that I have to wear fancy pants, makes me feel like a beef joint wrapped in string. </li>
</ul>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So there's my list. That is how crap I am. I can't be alone surely. My mates tell me tales of unshaved legs, hairs on boobs they don't bother getting rid of, farting during sex.....so it's not just me that is crap at being a woman, but....I look out, wide eyed and scared at the world, and I feel like an alien against all other women.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope it's not just me.....there must be others! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>

I am a massive sucker for a clever marketing campaign, and when I heard that YSL were releasing a lightweight, yet high coverage foundation, that had the lasting power of Estee Lauder Doublewear, yet the lightness of Giorgio Armani Maestro foundation, and that there was some mythical crazy waiting list for this stuff, I was obsessed. Like I always am. First up, let me say, whatever waiting list the marketing guys talked about, there was zero wait for this in my part of london. I actually got it early, and no one else had bought it, or was on any sort of list. As Public Enemy say, don't believe the hype. Not calling YSL liars of course, but there's some damn creative marketing talk at work here!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>So what do I say....</b></div>
<br />
Well....here's the thing. When I was testing this, I had one other foundation in mind, in regards to the claims made by this foundation, and that was Estee Lauder Doublewear. The reason is, Doublewear is used by thousands of women as their holy grail. Personally I dislike it hugely, as the finish is somewhere close to corpse paint, totally flat, lacking in dimension, and just....unreal. Saying that, it's a fantastic formula, as this foundation has taken me through dj gigs and sweaty concerts and festivals from morning till night, and it sticks like glue and you can rely on it like no other foundation that claims to be lasting. Swings and roundabouts.....so to speak.<br />
<br />
So does YSL Fusion Ink match up longevity wise. No, it doesn't, it will rub off, there will be elements of wear that become apparent as your day goes on, because ultimately, the two foundations are hugely different beasts.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wZ9jjXj7_Sk/VAdeg0Eqs4I/AAAAAAAAA14/0aJ_3Zvq0uI/s1600/photo%2B1.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-wZ9jjXj7_Sk/VAdeg0Eqs4I/AAAAAAAAA14/0aJ_3Zvq0uI/s1600/photo%2B1.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Fusion Ink is a lovely foundation, but it's not a substitute for the major coverage and longevity of Doublewear, so don't expect the same. It is a very thin formula, and it dries in seconds, but provides a very decent level of coverage in one layer. If you need more coverage in places, just dab the wand over those areas and work the foundation in using a buffing brush in circular motions. I have tried with and without primer and I would say, if you are oily like me, you do need to use primer, because it keeps off the shine that does eventually break through, and will, if you rub your nose or blow it, transfer and wear off. However, if you get caught in a shower or sweat, and don't rub your face, this stuff stays put quite wonderfully, and unlike doublewear, you have a velvety matte finish that has an ethereal glow, blurs imperfections quite successfully and does last, even if you might need a little touch up with powder towards the end of the day.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NMLedVQ8CMk/VAdeisdSTyI/AAAAAAAAA2I/m4EZzzXAOQY/s1600/photo%2B4.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-NMLedVQ8CMk/VAdeisdSTyI/AAAAAAAAA2I/m4EZzzXAOQY/s1600/photo%2B4.JPG" height="400" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<br />
<br />
So, it's good, it's great, but it's not perfect and it's not infallible, but what it does bring is a very decent coverage, a light as air feel, and a beautiful matte finish that lasts longer than your average matte foundation. I recommend you take advantage of their seven day free trial to see whether you like it or not, given that it's an expensive item at £30, you want to know you're not just doing what I do, which is get blinded by the flashing lights of 'NEW ITEM!!! BEST THING EVER!!! YOU WILL LOOK LIKE CARA IN MINUTES!!!' then go home and cry yourself to sleep because you can't pay your rent.<br />

You will notice in the swatch, btw, that BR20, which is the palest of all the Beige Rose shades, is a bit dark. I tried B10, and looked alarmingly yellow, whereas Beige Rose, is less yellow, but leans A LOT more yellow than my YSL Teint Touch Eclat foundation, which is a perfect match, but crap on my skin. Honestly, total crap, I look like i've been rubbing sunflower oil on my face. Nil points! This though, it does a pretty great job, and although it won't fix a broken heart, it goes some way to making you look less you've been crying all night....</div>

So, if youv'e followed this blog at all you'll know i'm a big fan of the whole stupidly coloured matte liquid lipstick that lasts aaaaages, so when I heard of <a href="http://www.prettyzombiecosmetics.com/" target="_blank">Pretty Zombie Cosmetics</a>, as i've detailed in my review of <a href="http://plainyetmaintained.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/review-pretty-zombie-cosmetics-liquid.html" target="_blank">Blue Moon</a>, I was very much sold on the idea of these lipsticks and owning the entire range. This is the second one i've got hold of, and god bless it's purple bum. I LOVE IT.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The other side, cause it's cool etc....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, it doesn't claim to be smudge or budgeproof, but let me tell you, it's basically holds up just as well as the <a href="http://stila.co.uk/products/stay-all-day-liquid-lipstick" target="_blank">Stila Stay All Day</a> range, which for the price point, although not bargain basement, you can't moan at too much. I love the shade, it's a cool, dark, vibrant purple. It goes on light and very liquidy, much like the<a href="https://www.love-makeup.co.uk/lime-crime-velvetines-p-5621.html" target="_blank"> Lime Crime Velvetines</a>, and then dries to a completely opaque, in one swipe, rich colour and it's completely matte, which oddly, many matte lipsticks don't deliver on. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Saying that, it doesn't last ALL night, and if you go on a snogging session, you're going to end up with a smudgy purple face. Also, it's really tough to remove and it does stain, so the day after you wear this, you either have to expect to have a smattering of discoloured dots on your lips, to wear a super opaque shade on top, or to exfoliate your lips to soreness. It really sticks. REALLY STICKS.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I have tested this to buggery, and when I test, I put it on, I go out, I dj, drink, kiss cheeks, eat unwise foods in all night restaurants and never have time to reapply. The result at the end of the night will always be an honest one, and I will say, this NEEDS re application, it will not stand up a horribly tough night, but honestly, very very few will, and this doesn't claim to last, so you can't complain really. By the end it will have worn off around the edges and have flaked. Unlike me, you'll probably be sober enough to care....</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Topshop Freckle Pencil in Forever Young</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Now, i'm a bit of an odd one, for some reason, I tend to get obsessed with something, and a couple of years later, it becomes a big mainstream fashion. Thus I feel fed up, because i've spent a load of cash trying to find the item and own it, which means I buy about ten different versions that aren't up to the standard I want, and then when it's a high street hitter, I hate it because I realise i'm just so ruddy mainstream. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So i've been faking freckles for about four years. I decided it was my raison detre, as my natural freckles have been bleached out from all my obsessive skin evening skincare from my late teens (read, borrowing my mates dodgy skin bleach and causing all sorts of awful). So yes, I have been desiring my 90's freckles back, and STAT. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I heard that Topshop were on that idea finally, and they have produced this WONDER, the freckle pencil. Now, I hear you cry, that you could just buy a brown kohl and be done with it, but trust me, i've tried, that stuff smears, or it's so hard to get it to make a mark on your face that you end up with massive great dots everywhere. The option i'd taken for the last few years has been using a <a href="http://www.goshcosmetics.com/uk/gosh-long-lasting-brow-pen.html" target="_blank">Gosh Long Lasting Eyebrow Marker</a> to lightly dot, and it's a good option, but not particularly realistic, even if it's lasts. When I heard topshop were releasing this I counted the days. It's ruddy summer, I WANT FRECKLES. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So as you can see above, i've given you a line, for colour, and a spattering of freckle like dots, and as you can see how freckle like they are, and hey, they pretty much ARE. Now, here I am, being brave again, showing my face, but I wanted to show how they look on a human face, no matter how MOON FACED I am, it's the effect, not the aesthetics of my genetics y'all....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GKgwyX-xAIw/U9BDj7kLj7I/AAAAAAAAAzc/ms04LyAsE9I/s1600/photo+(3).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-GKgwyX-xAIw/U9BDj7kLj7I/AAAAAAAAAzc/ms04LyAsE9I/s1600/photo+(3).JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Me, with freckle</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what you need to remember is pigment in your face caused by sun isn't uniform, so when you do these freckles, you need to be random as you can. The freckle pencil has the genius of being marbled, so it's a mix of two browns, like freckles generally are. The pencil, although long lasting once set, is also really emollient do the lightest touch can give the faintest of freckles. Other tips would be, make sure your base isn't too full coverage, as if it is, you'll end up looking a little pantomime, which isn't the aim, well, i'd assume. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
You can pick this pencil up from<a href="http://www.topshop.com/en/tsuk/category/make-up-431/home" target="_blank"> Topshop online</a> for a mere £5.00. </div>

<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="http://prettyzombiecosmetics.bigcartel.com/" target="_blank">Pretty Zombie Cosmetics</a> are an independent manufacturer of beautiful products, who have apparently been in existence since 2008. I happened upon them on one of my usual matte liquid lipstick searches, which I do more than I care to admit, so rampant is my obsession, and I found this company, with a fantastically unconventional range of shades to please the most obscure cosmetics lover.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Brx38lCCMtQ/U87Qqn3rj8I/AAAAAAAAAyY/Qr-zjVSlp6Y/s1600/pretty-zombie.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Brx38lCCMtQ/U87Qqn3rj8I/AAAAAAAAAyY/Qr-zjVSlp6Y/s1600/pretty-zombie.jpg" height="308" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I searched around like a madwoman and eventually found a uk stockist, in the form of a personal favourite web store <a href="http://www.cutecosmetics.co.uk/pretty-zombie-141-c.asp" target="_blank">Cute Cosmetics</a>, which stocks vegan and cruelty free brands exclusively, which is obviously awesome. I snapped up Blue Moon, and thus, I have my new favourite lipstick....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Packaging. Yay etc!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what's good about it. Well, it's another completely MATTE as hell lipstick. Properly matte, no pretendy matte, and no wimpy formula. This is full coverage in one swipe, it dries down, and that stuff is NOT leaving without some extreme encouragement and scrubbing. Whether this is good or bad depends on how lacking in patience you have. Frankly i'm willing to deal with it for some a cool shade. It's not perfect, it does crumble reasonably quickly if you eat and drink, BUT, one joy that you don't have with other brands, like Maybelline 24 hour bold matte, or Sleek Matte Me, is you can reapply to the crumbled bits and it looks fine, not lumpy and rubbish. I would suggest you give your lips a good moisturise, and an exfoliate, because this isn't the most forgiving formula, but who cares, YOU HAVE BLUE LIPS MOFO!</div>

Before I get reams of abuse, I know i'm not blessed looks wise so you don't need to tell me i'm ugly. So many bloggers get abuse and they're heroes for dealing with it. I'm not a massive fan of being put down right now but I wanted to show the lipstick as a wearable thing. My hair is all washed out because I had a big allergic reaction to my hair dye and i've put on quite a bit of weight since I went through a bereavement and break up. Again, i'm aware!</div>

Like a moth to a really hot scalding lightbulb, the second I see something I don't recognise on the shelves of boots or superdrug, I bound over and decide I cannot live without it for a second longer. Yesterday I came across this and as i've run out of my usual body oil from asda, I decided to give myself a little bit of summer shimmer. I've been slapping on some cheap fake tans of recent, so I have a tiny bit of colour to my skin (trust me, it's truly pathetic compared to everyone else on the streets) so I thought I might look a little better with some sheen, as for some reason, despite all the moisturising I do, my skin is always dry. So. Yes. Lets talk oil etc.</div>

I like it! It smells delicious, like a lovely biscuit, and it lives up to it's non greasy claims. Okay, it takes a little while to soak in, it's not a 'dry oil' so don't expect to slap it on and it evaporate in seconds, but its a very small amount of time, and it does give the skin a beautiful golden sheen, without looking like you're doused in baby oil a la Jodie Marsh. Your skin will feel nourished, smell gorgeous, and moisturised and comfortable. There's nothing negative I can say about this particularly. It's reasonably priced, works well and gives you a healthy glow. Lovely!</div>

<br />
So as promised, I am following up my <a href="http://plainyetmaintained.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/the-mega-super-dry-shampoo-spray-review.html" target="_blank">MEGA SUPER DRY SHAMPOO SPRAY REVIEW</a>, which was an overview of all the budget dry shampoo sprays for flat, fine and oily hair, primarily with a view to giving volume above any other benefit, with a run down of high end sprays, and backcomb fakers, which give the ultimate volume and hold too (budget and high end).<br />

<i>Transforms hair from day-old to amazing. Hair powder absorbs oil, extends the life of blow-dries, and instantly refresh hair. Corrects product over-use too. Go from a worn-out blow-dry to refreshed, full-bodied matte texture.</i><br />
<div>
<i><br /></i></div>
<h4>
I say....</h4>
<div>
I was seduced into buying this after my experiences with <a href="http://transforms%20hair%20from%20day-old%20to%20amazing.%20hair%20powder%20absorbs%20oil%2C%20extends%20the%20life%20of%20blow-dries%2C%20and%20instantly%20refresh%20hair.%20corrects%20product%20over-use%20too.%20go%20from%20a%20worn-out%20blow-dry%20to%20refreshed%2C%20full-bodied%20matte%20texture./" target="_blank">Pillow Proof Blow Dry Express Primer</a> which I will review in due course. I have to say, for the price, there isn't really <i>enough </i>results from this product to justify the price that I have spent on it. I figured because it seems to be permanently out of stock that this would cure all ills in my hair world, but actually, it's pretty much just a dry shampoo like many others. It doesn't give a ton of volume, but it does happily neutralise any smells in your hair, and there is the nifty feature that if you've put top much oil, or serum, or any other product in your hair, this will help normalise the textures and stop you having to wash your hair again. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h4>
Conclusion</h4>
<div>
If you're flush for cash, I would recommend picking this up as it does outperform your average pharmacy dry shampoo, just for the balancing of your hair from too much product use (we've all done it!), however, if like me, you're not, you'll be just as happy with something like Aussie or Vo5 for less than half the price.</div>

<div>
<i><br /></i></div>
<h4>
I say....</h4>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I love Sebastian Professional products. I'd say apart from Keratase, they are my ultimate product crush and trust in them completely, so when I say they'd released a dry, volume building shampoo, I had to snap it up. According to Sebastian themselves, the key element that makes this dry shampoo a winner amongst others is that its particles are spherical as opposed to square, so they sit together more comfortably and make hair easier to restyle at will. I'm not an expert on particles, but I will say that when I go out, this is the dry shampoo I stick in my make up bag in its travel size, as when I go out and sweat, and my hair gets flat and crappy, this leaves no white marks, and whips up dirt and enables me to reboost my style without creating a scaggy feeling scalp. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h4>
Conclusion</h4>
<div>
Although pricey at full size, this is also available in a travel size which makes it far more accessible to the less affluent of us (i.e. ME) and it does perform, for a dry shampoo, exceptionally well at making hair look full of life after a night on the tiles. </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I read rave reviews about this, so I desperately wanted to try it, but it's not cheap, so after some weeks of ebay raking, I found a partially used bottle for £12.00 so decided to take the plunge. My hair is a complicated thing, naturally, it's very dark brown, poker straight, but easily kinked and is super thin, and super flat, and oily at the roots. Add onto this that I bleach it white, then dye is blue, it's in ravaged condition, and on top of this, I have extensions which are coming to the end of their blissful existence so my hair can look a hot mess if I don't tend to it. Now, I have also read bad reviews of this, but they tend to be from people who just haven't got a clue what they're using. This is a spray to FINISH your hair, not to pick it up when it's a greasy sludge. I spend most of my time wishing I was Alison Mosshart, with the big, messy in a good way, mop of hair.<br />

<br /></div>
<div>
And this is basically what the spray does, is gives you separation, mess, but not frizz, oomph, and a general 'dryspun' look, so matte, a thick texture but not HUGE, and dare I say it, and I hate to say it because it sounds crap, a 'rock chick' kind of undone goodness. However, as with these kind of sprays, your hair will feel pretty gritty the next day, and spraying more won't make it better unless you're going for a full on Jesus and Mary Chain type crown of gunk....<br />

Ladies and gents, welcome to getting your bank account ABUSED. This stuff is PRICEY, I mean, super duper pricey. I treated myself to this on my birthday, and as I walked away from Space NK, I nearly burst into tears realising i'd spent EVERYTHING and therefore wasn't going to have quite as fancy a week as i'd planned. FOR HAIRSPRAY.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
However, may I also welcome you to a new experience in hair. Oribe, as a brand, is luxe, and everything about them, kind of, makes the price tag feel worthwhile. The packaging looks good, the promises are delivered and the ingredients sumptuous. This spray is available in two formats. Dry finishing, and THICK dry. I obviously went for the thick and I am so so glad I did. People tend to say that this and the Bumble and Bumble are the same. I would have to disagree. Whereas B&B gives me a fluffy, purposefully flyaway look, this gives me hair that I never DREAMED could be on my head. Again, this isn't a hair pick me up, this is a finishing spray, and it finishes you like a mofo. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I wash and blowdry my hair, with my far too many potions, straighten it, and then I grab this and lift sections at the root and spray. I then tip my head upsidedown and spray again. I then blast it with the hairdryer, as instructed, and what you are left with is hair like a QUEEN. I mean, your hair will be HUGE, but not frizzy, not messy, just HUGE. It also doesn't feel disgusting the next day, instead it feels easy to style as it has grip. I honestly cannot recommend this enough. It does everything i'd want a product too. Sadly it's so expensive that I only use it when i'm going somewhere, as looking that great comes at too high a price for my purse. Sadface.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h4>
Conclusion</h4>
<div>
A worthy investment item, that up until this point, I haven't found anything that comes even close to competing results wise. </div>

<div>

<br />
It sounds good doesn't it, and this, as far as I know, was one of the first backcomb without the damage products on the market, and I snapped it up about six years ago. However, as much as I was enamoured with it then, the fact that it's the same formula that hasn't been updated, has left me, well, not very enamoured now. It says to focus on the ends, and lightly mist through hair. I would NEVER recommend that. It does give you a backcombed hold, yes, but it's like glue, actual glue, and this type of product is available cheaper, less aggressive, and more easily obtainable from your local drugstore. Therefore, I do not recommend.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<h4>
Conclusion</h4>

Yes, it will make your hair stand up all night, and yes, it's like wallpaper paste in longevity, but there are better, and cheaper options. </div>

I LOVE THIS STUFF. Serious y'all. I love it. So, yes, if you use this you will have to wash your hair in the next two days, as it's a super duper strong spray that creates mega hold volume. However, unlike big sexy hair, it's cheap, and you can touch your hair without your fingers sticking to it. All I do is lift sections of my hair I want volume in, spritz a little, hold it until it dries off, and it just STAYS.</div>

Again, I LOVE THIS STUFF. I first bought this in a little travel size on the way out for the night when my hair felt like a pile of rubbish and needed some oomph. I popped into the toilets of waterloo train station, spritzed this at the roots and ba da bing! VOLUME A GO GO! Again, like the Vo5, all you need to do is spray, push into shape and once it dries, this stuff stays put. You can achieve huge volume at the roots with this, although I wouldn't recommend putting it anywhere else, as it'll not really give you many benefits if you do that. The point of this is to lift and stay, and thats what it does. </div>
<div>

<h4>
Conclusion</h4>
<div>
This product is available in two sizes, and if you're umming and ahhing about it, i'd suggest treating yourself to the travel sized version. <br />
One of the bane's of my life has always been my hair. It's thin, it's flat, it's straighter than straight, and cannot hold a style for any length of time. Throughout my life I have spent HOURS and much moneys on trying to get it pouffy and luxurious, and the struggle has felt for many years like a thankless battle. In the 90's there was a great shampoo that was sold in Superdrug that I cannot remember the name of, but it basically turned your hair into wool, but really thick, easily styled hair that needed no product. AT ALL. My dreams came real, until they stopped making it. Next, it was <a href="http://www.batistehair.co.uk/" target="_blank">Batiste</a> as my nan had tons of cans of it in her pharmacy-like bathroom cupboards (I cannot possibly describe how weird my nans hoarding was when it came to new products, but I myself have carried on this tradition to the horror of my purse strings and the people around me). Anyway, in the mid to late 2000's, dry shampoos started morphing and multiplying into uber mega dry shampoos, and me, well, my job seems to have been to buy THEM ALL FOREVER FROM EVERYWHERE.<br />
<br />
So i'm here to help. With dry shampoo choices that is. Warning, this post will be freaking HUGE.<br />

<h4>
Conclusion</h4>
<div>
I appreciate very much the conditioning benefits this product boasts, but in all honesty, the actual purpose of this product is to make my hair big. It doesn't really do that, and it doesn't hold particularly well on my head. It does do a good job of making hair feel fresh and clean, which is the main goal of a dry shampoo, obviously, but for the purpose that i'm using it for, this isn't a winner. However if you want your hair smelling fresh and grease free, this is a good, cheap option. </div>

They're short and sweet, and this range is aimed at a youthful 'undone' kind of market, and I do enjoy the packaging, as it does feel like it's made for a party girl, and despite my age, that's what I am mofo. It's cheap, and it's cheerful, and not only does it come in 200ml size, it comes in a handbag happy mini size which you can chuck in your make up bag and use to give yourself a literal, morning after perk up in whoever's bathroom you've woken up near. You know what the biggest HOOPLA about this product, it's the fact that no matter how badly you apply this stuff, there are ZERO white marks. NONE. This is a big plus mark for girls who don't have 360 degree mirror vision in their house, because I have gone out before with a ridiculous white splodge on the back of my head. </div>

<div>
This is a great budget product, the no white marks at all give it bonus points as it's a rarity in these type of products. It absolutely works for the grease busting thing, and the smell is pleasant, if a tiny bit musty, in a 'i'm wearing vintage clothes and the smell is in my hair a bit so i'm trying to cover it up' way, if you can imagine that. I think that is kind of what they're going for here so....thats okay. There isn't a massive whomp of volume, but a good amount, and it's an all round good performer for the price.</div>

DRUM ROLLLL! This is one of my FAVOURITE budget dry shampoos. I love it. I LOVE IT. It doesn't matter how many others I buy, I keep coming back to this one and discarding the rest in favour of this (however the new aussie one is competing, stay TUNED with your EYES). This beast though, this lovely beast, it gives mega volume, it literally does plump everything up to a good healthy volume with minimal white marks. It keeps the volume for a reasonable amount of time as long as you're not sweating and dancing, it smells inoffensive, and it is a BARGAIN. Bear in mind there are two types you need to purchase the one for flat, fine and oily hair. </div>

So fresh and new there's barely anything about this on the internet yet, even on Fudge Urban's own website. However I spotted this in my local Boots and i'm a sucker for the Fudge Urban range, due to it smelling super sweet, having awesome packaging (I am a simple soul, I am attracted to shiny things), and being aimed a market who like to express themselves and achieve more outlandish styles whilst being friendly on your purse....so basically, teenagers, but sod it, i'm 35 but i'm 18 in my head....and, er, a little bit outside given the amount I get ID'd buying alcohol. Now, this doesn't give you much in the way of volume, but it doesn't claim to. However, it DOES whip the oily muck out of your hair, and does not leave white powdery marks, and it smells FANTASTIC, so if you suffer from second day oily scalp mustiness, this is a lovely thing to pop in your bag to make you feel fresh again. I really do recommend it, and it's CHEAP.</div>

I would recommend this for the purposes of actual mucky hair as opposed to making it big. You can spray this on your pulled back into a ponytail hair and it transforms the grease into matte clean looking hair, and gives your hair grip and a little bulk to style with. It smells nice, and it does what it claims. </div>

DING DING DING DING JACKPOT!!!! We have another winner in our midst. Again, extremely new on the shelves, I picked this up when I was replacing yet ANOTHER <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Aussie-3-Minute-Miracle-Light-Aussome-Volume-Deep-Treatment-Mousse-150ml_1448200/" target="_blank">Aussie Aussome Volume Deep Treatment Mousse Light</a> (here's a little tip for you, if you want to spend four quid on a product that you use once, which then explodes in your shower, you replace, and it repeats the same behaviour, then go buy that, if not, don't bother), and I saw this cheeky new stranger, sat on the shelves promising VOLUME and CONTROL, whilst also doing all the other stuff that dry shampoos do, AND smelling nice. I was sold! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now, I dye my hair blue, and it's bleached, but recently I had a major allergic reaction to hair dye and until I know what i'm allergic to, I can't dye it, so it's currently a very washed out greeny bluey yellow mess. Therefore I don't want to wash it much, so I got in and used this on my five day old greasy flat mop. IT WORKED LIKE A DREAM. Seriously, it gave a very impressive boost of volume, no white marks, and my hair smelt as new as five day old hair could hope to. I WAS IMPRESSED. So much so I even went clubbing and didn't feel self conscious at all (I never go partying without washing my hair ever usually). My hair didn't look dirty or gritty, just fashionably texturised. </div>

Some people love this. I am not one of them. If I wore updo's, then I imagine I might really like it, but alas, I used this three times before tossing it into the bin yelling 'BE GONE THY DEMON'. It made my hair feel DISGUSTING. Honestly, I couldn't get my fingers in my hair, and once I started getting a bit sweaty (as is my wont), oh my goodness, it was REPULSIVE. My roots turned into a vicious sludge, I was itching, and my hair did NOT look nice. If you're into the whole rockabilly thing, I reckon you'll adore this, but me, I was offended by it. Yes, batiste hurt my feelings. Big time. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
MUA LUXE VELVET LIP LACQUER </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Now, I am a lover of high end make up, and have my fair share of expensive products, from Becca, to Kevyn Aucoin, to Eve Lom, Hourglass. I love luxury, despite my very empty pockets, I seem to be able to find a way to own things I really haven't the funds too. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
However, MUA, like<a href="http://www.sleekmakeup.com/" target="_blank"> Sleek Make Up</a>, are one of those brands that aren't just budget, they're SUPER budget, and despite this, they keep coming up with FANTASTIC products that I opt for time and time again despite owning much pricier alternatives. The velvet lip lacquers are just one example of this. I own matte liquid lipsticks from Lancome, BITE beauty, Stila, Lime Crime and many more. However, when i'm going on a hardcore, sweaty and long night, I always opt for MUA velvet lip lacquers. They're a million times cheaper, and offer much more it seems. How can we complain!?</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
You may not have heard, and not even I had heard, and I am a total cosmetics geek, so I should have by now, but they have released a few new shades of lip lacquer for the summer. I found them in my local superdrug, which was a surprise given their lack of stocking ANY products that someone would potentially desire, so I snapped them up quick as a flash, and here I am to share them with you!</div>

Firstly, please excuse my skanky arm. I have had a major allergic reaction and am covered head to toe in hives due to, what seems to be, my hair bleach that I have used on me. This sucks, because I have a full head of blue hair. I'm not sure what my options are but I am ANNOYED.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Secondly, I cannot praise these formulas enough. Not ONE other liquid lip, except for the Stila one, which is five times the price, will stand up in the same way. If you apply a lipliner that is also long wear, like the <a href="http://www.sleekmakeup.com/lips/lip-liner/eau-la-la-liners-lingerie" target="_blank">Sleek Eau La La Liner</a> (£4.99 from boots and superdrug), then apply this on top, you will be able to get through about six hours smudge and budge free. Quite the performance no!?</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So I suggest you pick these up QUICK. They always seem to be sold out, so if you find them, make them yours. They are summer and party nights in a tube!</div>

<a href="http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2014/stylewatch/blog/140310/kelly-osbourne-600x450.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2014/stylewatch/blog/140310/kelly-osbourne-600x450.jpg" height="300" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Kelly Osbourne and her face</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So let me get one thing straight here. When I first heard there was going to be a Kelly and Sharon Osbourne Mac collection out, I did not whoop for joy. Instead I thrashed about in the same way I did when Kate Moss was given her first Topshop collection. Why the HELL should they get their own collections!! When I buy designer clothes, I feel excited because an expert and creator has designed something that they've studied hard to be proficient at, I mean, if Kanye West can get slated for being a designer of clothing, even though (and I know he's a controversial character here) he's been willing to intern at Fendi, which, I know, it's a dream internship, but at least he went there, did coffee runs, did a version of the same stuff that others who want to learn did. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When Kate Moss happily says 'what I did, like, for this collection, was I decided to look in my wardrobe at stuff I liked and then said to the designers 'make that thing I like please' and then, like, I sell it to people, and get money etc'. I am paraphrasing obviously, but.....well, I have a big wardrobe, I have LOADS of clothes I like, that, shock horror, were designed by DESIGNERS, why not just ask me to make a collection then? I mean, i'm afraid I wasn't blessed with the genes to make me a beautiful supermodel who has been idolised for having a face and a human body, but I do LOVE clothes so....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And this is basically my issue. Kelly Osbourne, I have met a lot. I'm hoping my anonymity stays with this blog, because I could get my arse whooped, but she was a close friend of a friend, and every single time I met her, she was a twat, and self entitled, and expectant, and she really needed, to quote the youth of today, check her privilege. Nepotism is obviously the key to many talentless people's success, but come on Mac, you really are scraping the barrel here.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
But then.....argh, I went and I ruddy bought some....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
A contouring and highlighting duo</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L6Qcfez0lME/U5zZa21mr8I/AAAAAAAAAvU/8aPwonHqZxg/s1600/photo+5.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-L6Qcfez0lME/U5zZa21mr8I/AAAAAAAAAvU/8aPwonHqZxg/s1600/photo+5.JPG" height="400" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So the point in this, is that you can use it as a subtle bronzer or contour shade, and the other shade as a highlight or subtle blush colour. I have to say, this colour pay off is VERY subtle, but the quality is stunning. The powder is buttery and soft, and is picked up very easily on a kabuki (I didn't buy the Kelly kabuki, because for £36, you can shove it up your arse frankly) and buffed onto the cheeks to create an ombre contour that is quite beautiful. However, this is very much a pale ladies pick up. If you are deeper in tone, you are going to be spending a lot of time trying to get some payoff on you skin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I would suggest that this is a lovely bronzer for the summer months, and the lighter hue is fantastic in conjunction, or alone. The packaging is beautiful and it's well worth picking up if you are super pale, like me, as it's a rare type of bronzer that actually looks quite natural on your skin. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Cheeky Bugger - Swatched</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So this is a satin finish blush, which I would SWEAR is a sheertone because, well, LOOK HOW SHEER IT IS. I would also not call it a satin finish, as it seems to be an aggressively matte base, shot through with a bit of sparkle, which is a whole different game from satin, which I generally find looks a bit dated. I did my best to get a good swatch for you lot but alas, I tried and this is as built up as I could get it. HOWEVER. When I use it on my NW13 skin, it is one of those shades that I adore. Seriously, it makes you look and feel like a spring lamb. It's fresh and pretty. Sadly it's longevity is pretty woeful, and it is only visible for a total of two hours. I love the colour so much, i'm willing to top it up throughout the day. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I would again, not recommend this for a darker skintone. It's just not going to give the payoff unless you go to work on it, and even if you do, it will wear thin pretty quick. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I won't end on a negative note though. I love the packaging, I am appreciative of the products and despite the 'icon' not really being much of an 'icon', I can get over that to own a product I actually like, and the visuals and styling for her are absolutely stunning. If only I could get on Strictly Come Dancing, and be given jobs because I have some parents who did stuff. </div>

So, i've been absent for a while. Been a bit of a rubbish human being i'm afraid. I've been dj'ing, and trying to be less of a chubber (note to self: eating less might be the first step) and it's been hot as FIRE in the UK (hello viewers from across the globe!) so if sweating and complaining about sweating is considered an activity, then i've been busy as buggery. </div>

I went the first day they were released and wanted to buy them all, but firstly, I am poor, and secondly some of them looked ruddy awful on me, so I settled on these two. Now, one big problem was the girl serving me, lovely as she was, had the worst make up ever. She had massively thick too dark foundation, dry cracked lipstick drawn far too far over her lipline and the classic contouring that is so over applied it looks like a grey dirty pile of dirt. It put me off, but I somehow managed to get through the consultation and purchase.</div>

<li class="li1"><i>KISS YOUR CHEEKS, BLUSH YOUR LIPS Yves Saint Laurent introduces a double play of colour for lips and cheeks. A hybrid between a lip colour and a blush, this innovative air-whipped formula allows for an instant application on both lips and cheeks. With a luminous matte finish, colour is easily buildable from a soft and natural look to a more intense sophisticated look. The patented "hidden pearl" applicator is customised to glide perfectly on the lips and to allow the optimal amount of formula to be dotted on the cheeks. A range of 12 playful shades to complement each cheeky side of the YSL Baby Doll woman.</i></li>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
These items are basically my dream product. On the lips they sit somewhere between a matte lipstick and a stain. You need to be aware that as a lip product, they aren't THAT long lasting. If you're just going about your day, they'll see you through about five hours, but if you will be eating, drinking and kissing, they're going to wear off, although leaving you with a subtle slight 'my lips but better' stain. As or cheeks, this is where this product WINS and WINS HARD. I put just a couple of dot below each cheek bone and blend with a duo fibre brush from Real Techniques, and the colour distributes beautifully without leaving those telltale 'i've been using a benetint type thingy' dots stained into your cheeks. The colour deposited is matte in essence, but also luminous, and soft. I really can't say enough good about these, except for the price. I do think that £27 is a little much for a product that you are going to want to purchase multiple shades of. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Despite that, I highly recommend you pick up a couple of shades. They're a summer staple and great for weekends away, and dare I say, festivals (I am vehemently ANTI the whole festival make up bullshit, given that in my day, we felt equipped with wet wipes and tampons). </div>

Ashish LED backpack - £350</div>
<br />
<br />
So there's been this fashion drop that i've been counting the days till for MONTHS. I mean M O N T H S. It is the Ashish x Topshop x Buffalo 2014 drop. So many things could have put me off. The fact that Lily Allen seemed to be the bastion for the trainers, showing off to everyone that despite the fact she could afford them, and isn't exactly a fashionistas poster girl, she got given them free before everyone else.<br />
<br />
Swine.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a1jX2stlUY4/U4JczAx3TVI/AAAAAAAAAs8/WZVllMdWQxM/s1600/lily-allen-topshop-ashish-light-up-trainers.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-a1jX2stlUY4/U4JczAx3TVI/AAAAAAAAAs8/WZVllMdWQxM/s1600/lily-allen-topshop-ashish-light-up-trainers.jpg" height="400" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lily, with my dream trainers. Tssssk.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So, i'm upset. There's a good reason. I was a teenager of the 90's, and yes, the 90's obsession goes on and on, everyone freaking because there was a decade where we wore stupid shoes and baggy t shirts and didn't actually look that great, but apparently thats okay. I mean, i've heard a mate of a mate has just bought the rights to Spliffy. SPLIFFY FFS. Any youthful fashionistas reading btw, Spliffy was a brand that all the skanky nasty kids whose dads dealt smack to kids would wear. Ha, well, maybe i'm being a 'little' harsh, but seriously, there was nothing cool about Spliffy....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'm getting off the point. My point is, charging £350 for a back pack, or buffalo trainers, of which I have five pairs from the 90's still in my basement (I shamefaced'ly pulled a pair out last week to go to a fashion party at Cirque Le Soir because I thought it'd be funny, it wasn't funny, I fell over and hurt my ankle), charging that price point for an item in Topshop that isn't a full length shearling jacket is UNACCEPTABLE in the extreme. I am not just saying this because i'm mega poor right now. They are making items that should be accessible to your average student, totally unaffordable, so what will happen, is kids will spend their loans on stuff they can't afford, and people like me will spend their rent money on trainers they can't afford due to some misjudged thrust of nostalgia. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
However, saying that, I shall be queueing outside topshop on thursday 29th of May in central london for one reason. I want those LED buffalos, just like I paid over £100 for the Jeremy Scott glow in the dark wings trainers (see below), because I am like a child, and I like shit that glows in the dark...</div>

<u><b>UPDATE</b></u></div>
<br />
<br />
I bought the LED trainers. For a lot of money. The LED lights worked for half an hour. So I returned them for another pair. The LED lights lasted on one shoe for twenty minutes, on the other shoe, one half for ten minutes, the other half for forty. I returned them AGAIN, and got ANOTHER pair, I was dj'ing so I put them on, checked they both worked, and went to dj in a clean, dry booth. Not only did the LED's stop working on the way in the cab, but after standing on them (NOT DANCING) for three hours, they all fell off.<br />
<br />
Went to Topshop, pretty fed up, and they told me that they'd virtually all been returned and it had been a nightmare. My review was deleted from the site, and complaints from the facebook page. I also spoke direct with Ashish's PR and they were lovely, but told me that there was very little information as to what was going on other than things weren't working.<br />
<br />
I'm upset because unlike Lily Allen, I had to save for months for these shoes, I counted the days till they came out, and I loved them, so it would have been great to be able to wear them whilst dj'ing the festivals on stage and stuff, but alas, no LED joy for me. Bad show Ashish. Really bad...Mindbearhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04808817525553398669noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1279989791311486474.post-5919443401865829222014-05-12T17:20:00.003-07:002014-05-12T17:20:41.931-07:00REVIEW: Bourjois One Second Mascara - quickie RAVE.<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://images.asos-media.com/inv/media/6/2/9/2/4192926/black/image1xxl.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://images.asos-media.com/inv/media/6/2/9/2/4192926/black/image1xxl.jpg" height="400" width="312" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love mascara. I mean, thats an understatement. I LOVE MASCARA. There are two things I am very passionate about in my make up life, that save my soul from crying forever, and they are foundation and mascara. Mascara distracts from many facial sins I find, making things instantly prettier. I don't generally trust in drugstore mascaras, and I don't know why, because i've had some crackers, but I always end up running back to Diorshow or YSL, or some crazy imported Japanese insanity.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So the other day, I read about, and promptly saw this guy in my local superdrug, and I was entranced. I mean, one second, what the hell, how good could this be.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The answer. VERY GOOD INDEED. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
This is what they claim etc....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="p1">
<i>1 Second Mascara by <a href="http://www.asos.com/Beauty/A-To-Z-Of-Brands/Bourjous/Cat/pgecategory.aspx?cid=1451"><b>Bourjois</b></a></i></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
</div>
<ul class="ul1">
<li class="li1"><i>Volumising brush with wraparound spherical bristles</i></li>
<li class="li1"><i>Designed to coat lashes from root to tip in one second </i></li>
<li class="li1"><i>Formula to last up to 16 hours</i></li>
<li class="li1"><i>Rich, pigmented finish</i></li>
</ul>
So there isn't one thing I could argue with here. Lets look at a crappy blurry photo of my usually short, stubby, straight and rubbish lashes with this on.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mOT9wkZ-jNc/U3FkdQ6U1kI/AAAAAAAAAsY/3zAAd5X45EY/s1600/photo+(2).JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mOT9wkZ-jNc/U3FkdQ6U1kI/AAAAAAAAAsY/3zAAd5X45EY/s1600/photo+(2).JPG" height="375" width="400" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So ignore my shiny forehead, and my rubbish everything else. Just concentrate on the lash. I promise you, my lashes are pointless. They have nothing. However, after two quick coats of this mascara. they were curled, volumised and happy as larry. I can't emphasize how good this stuff is. The applicator just grabs every lash and curls, whilst giving volume and ease of separation. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I can't say enough good about this....but i'll stop now, because it's my birthday as of an hour ago and i'm a little drunk.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
BAM!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Pick this up from Superdrug or <a href="http://www.asos.com/Bourjois/Bourjois-1-Second-Mascara/Prod/pgeproduct.aspx?iid=4192926" target="_blank">ASOS</a> for £9.99. It's great!</div>

<a href="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod22/dw/image/v2/AAHE_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-coty_uk-Site/Sites-Coty/default/v1399492718344/images/products/UK%20Updated/Purity%20made%20simple_16oz_Scene7.jpg?sw=1800&sh=1920&sfrm=jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="http://demandware.edgesuite.net/sits_pod22/dw/image/v2/AAHE_PRD/on/demandware.static/Sites-coty_uk-Site/Sites-Coty/default/v1399492718344/images/products/UK%20Updated/Purity%20made%20simple_16oz_Scene7.jpg?sw=1800&sh=1920&sfrm=jpg" height="400" width="375" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So whilst i'm on my 'review all the cleansers in my home' run, I may as well chuck another one in. I've been using this for about four years in total, having originally gotten hold of it via the joys of being on the Philosophy testing panel, which was a short lived, but lovely experience.<br />
<br />
So whats it selling us then, what does it promise!<br />
<br />
<i><br /><br />"our award-winning daily facial skin cleanser is formulated to gently cleanse, tone and melt away all face and eye makeup in one simple step, while lightly hydrating the skin.<br /><br /><br />features & benefits<br />deep cleans pores and eliminates makeup build-up<br />natural oil extracts help condition skin<br />fragrance-free formula"</i><br />
<div>
<i><br /></i></div>
<div>
It suggests, which I follow, that you "massage a "size of a 20 pence coin" amount onto a lightly damp face, and massage for 30-60 seconds. rinse and pat dry", the only thing I add to this regime is wiping off with a warm wet wash cloth, which assists with the exfoliation and keeps you silky smooth and ready for your skincare products.<br />
<br />
My skin is left soft, smooth and squeaky clean. It makes easy work of waterproof make up and lifting oil and dirt. What more could you possibly wish for.....<br />
<br />
NOTHING.<br />
<br />
Well, one thing. That it was cheaper. It's ridiculously expensive for a cleanser that you use daily, so therefore are going to plough through pretty quickly. There is a travel size available for the price of £8.00, but if you're going to spend that on a budget, you might as well spend it on a full size <a href="http://plainyetmaintained.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/review-soap-and-glory-peaches-and-clean.html" target="_blank">Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean cleanser</a>.<br />
<br />
If you do want to invest, Philosophy is stocked far and wide, and you can buy a standard size of 240ml for £17.50 direct from the<a href="http://www.philosophyskincare.co.uk/one-step-facial-cleanser/purity-made-simple,default,pd.html" target="_blank"> brands own website</a>, <a href="http://www.johnlewis.com/philosophy-purity-made-simple-one-step-facial-cleanser/p155025" target="_blank">John Lewis</a>, <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/philosophy-purity-made-simple-one-step-facial-cleanser-90ml_1217668/" target="_blank">Boots</a> or <a href="http://www.debenhams.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/prod_10701_10001_123542005799_-1" target="_blank">Debenhams</a> where it is CURRENTLY on sale for £15.50. Be quick!<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I wear a lot of make up, so I tend to go through cleansers like nobodies business. I reviewed one of my favourite cleansers <a href="http://plainyetmaintained.blogspot.co.uk/2014/04/review-soap-and-glory-peaches-and-clean.html" target="_blank">yesterday</a>, but in this household I have at least two cleansers on the go at any one time. In the interests of full disclosure, I actually have five on the go at the moment. Insanity. Anyway, I picked this up at Boots on an introductory offer, so it set me back a bargainous £5.00 as opposed to £7.95. I hadn't heard of it prior to its launch, but I had been using the Nip and Fab Glycolic Fix exfoliating pads, and had had good results, so I knew it was a brand I trusted. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So what do they have to say about this gloopy pot of goodness....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<i><br /><br />Get super clear skin + banish blemishes with our new Deep Cleansing Fix.<br /><br />This multi-purpose cleansing cream gently melts away make-up + purifies skin for a clear + fresh complexion.<br /><br />A 6-in-1 beauty must-have, this luxurious cream cleanser works to deep cleanse pores while nourishing + awakening the skin with an energising, uplifiting eucalyptus scent.<br /><br />For best results, simply massage onto dry skin + rinse for deep cleansed, hydrated + beautifully clear skin.<br /><br />The 6 different uses of Deep Cleansing Fix are:<br /><br />1) Removes make-up<br /> 2) Deeply Cleanses<br /> 3) Can be used as mini 10 minute mask<br /> 4) Leave on overnight as an intensive hydrating mask<br /> 5) Can be applied directly to blemishes<br /> 6) Exfoliating action when used with muslin cloth<br /><br />Currently Not Available in the US<br /><br />Deep Cleansing Fix contains:<br /><br /> <br />sweet almond oil nourishes + smoothes <br />tea tree oil cleanses pores </i>So basically, it does everything!<br />
<br />
And I really really like it very much. I have used it overnight, and woken up with skin that is fresh, smooth and hydrated, as well as brighter and clearer. I have used it as a ten minute mask which results in energised fresh skin, and I use it a lot as a cleanser. I smooth it over my make up strewn face, much of which is water resistant or proof, and I massage it, fill up the sink with hot water and place the washclosh in it, then place it on my face, let it melt the cleanser, and then wipe of gently, and ta da! Everything, and I mean, EVERYTHING is gone. I use the type of eyeliner that is impossible to remove, but this gets it off in a flash. My skin benefits from it, feels fresh and clean, and I actually enjoy the process!<br />
<br />
I highly recommend this to all, and it's stocked in boots for £7.95, or online <a href="http://www.nipandfab.com/shop/face_fixes/deep_cleansing_fix/89" target="_blank">HERE</a><br />

Peaches and Clean Purifying Cleanser</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
One thing I could be accused of, frequently, is laziness. I'm messy, I mean, really messy, I don't know how to organise myself, the only thing I'm vaguely okay with is arranging my vast collection of make up, but even then, i'm pretty bad. Therefore for years, I have gone back again and again to taking my make up off with wipes. It always ends up with me getting horrid spots, blocks pores and rough patches that no primer will smooth over.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
So when this happens, i'm reminded of why I should get off my lazy bum and properly cleanse at the end of the night. I've tried TONS of cleansers, but not many agree with me. I've tried cheap to expensive, from Simple to Eve Lom, and this one is the one I always ALWAYS return to, and with good reason. Lets find out why etc....</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
They (Soap and Glory) say this ----></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<i><br />Want to remove make-up and impurities in one clean sweep? Reach for Soap & Glory’s indispensable daily face cleanser, Peaches And Clean™. It’s gentle, effective, melts away make-up (even waterproof mascara), and re-energises your complexion in two minutes. <br /><br />• OXYGINSENG™ TECHNOLOGY - an amazingly effective, organic complex that helps increase circulation and cell respiration (which then turns up blood supply and toxin removal), and also speeds oxygen and nutrient delivery to fight aging and re-energise skin<br />• PEACH & GOJUICE™ (peach and goji berry extracts) - rich in antioxidants and vitamins A & C<br />• QUILLAJA BARK - a Chilean soap bark tree-derived natural cleansing agent</i><br /><div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now, one thing I love about Soap and Glory (and it took me a long time to love them due to viewing them for years as a Benefit rip off) is their frank, honest and straightforward descriptions of their products, and the fact that they're mostly, incredibly affordable. I have been using this every single night for months, my method being I massage onto my mucky make up laiden face, including eyes, soak a flannel in hot water, wring it out, and gently (or not so gently if i've been on the booze) wipe the make up and cleanser away in one easy go. It gets EVERYTHING off easily, and my face is left soft, glowing, and smooth, ready to apply my night treatments, which soak in beautifully post cleansing. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So this is a total bona fide RAVE. I love this stuff. It's cheap, super cheerful, smells lovely and is very effective. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
It's available from Boots the country over or from their website <a href="http://www.soapandglory.com/skincare/skincare-routines/for-daily-youth/soap-glorytm-peaches-and-cleantm" target="_blank">HERE </a>for the paltry sum of £8.00. I suggest you give it a go! </div>
